Objective
RATEL is the Serbian ministry of telecommunication regulatory agency which monitors telecom market. On their request Systemics PAB with specialized car apparatus have mapped network quality in whole country. Taken measurements resulted in huge dataset of geopoint quality indexes.
We are created backend and frontend solutions for big data visualisation. We have presented it to the end users via desktop and mobile web browsers in form of map and charts in attractive and efficient way.
Challenges
- optimization of backend layer to query data and serve multiple responses in shortest possible time
- provide an efficient way to present big data of geopoints in the web browsers across all screens and devices
Approach
We have prepared highly optimized and indexed db schema. We have used MapboxGL for map visualisation which allowed us to achieve near native performance using web browser on mobile devices even displaying large datasets. We have used Chartist for creating customized responsive charts. We have used React to keep project structure as simple as possible and code views very efficient manner.
