Medical Alternatives Clinics

Objective

The main purpose of the app was to be able to create a direct line of communication for the patients to the clinic; from simply being able to call the clinic with one click, to emailing, to scheduling appointments, to getting directions. The secondary purpose of the app was to create more of a community between the patients of the clinic and also the clinic itself. For this purpose we sought out features such as discussions, private chats, education articles, FAQs, but also deals and coupons from the clinic and dispensaries that could also be displayed on a map based on location, not to mention a notification system with various updates that could easily be communicated to all users.

Approach

The development team at Nogravity analyzed and mapped the client’s requirements into multiple phases. To deliver rapid application development, the team created components like Wall, Chat, Schedule Appointments, Call us, Get Directions, Deals, Dispensary Map, Education nad FQAs, Discussions, Extended Plant Count calculator, Convenient login with FB and G+. The customer was constantly involved and updated on progress so that development was done in an iterative process.

Medical Alternatives Clinic is a private clinic in Colorado specializing in the evaluation of patients seeking alternative forms of treatment (medical marijuana) for various medical conditions such as cancer, HIV/AIDs, severe pain, seizures, PTSD and others. The clinic has been in operation since 2012 with locations in Colorado Springs and Pueblo.
